I got a job!

I am now officially an Employee at my favorite clothing store, American Eagle! I love their products almost as much as I love cars, and most of my closet/dresser consists of shirts/pants/jackets from their catalog! I got the job on the spot as well! I had an interview with a really nice guy, and by the end of it, I was hired! My orientation is on Sunday, and I'm so excited for it! Now I can officially start my dream car fund, one paycheck at a time!

Hopefully they keep me after the hectic season, and let me work my dream first job as a 16YO!

The only thing I have from that store that I like is underwear..wish it weren't so expensive, because it's so comfy!

Congrats!

Now, as a former AE employee, make sure you get hours. When I worked there, it was so overstaffed, some of us were getting one shift a month. I'm not even kidding. There were 50-60 of us total, and never more than 5 people working at a time. I worked there for a year, and I didn't even meet all my coworkers because of the overstaffing.

The discounts are awesome though, and it's really laid back. I would just suggest that you have a second job.

my A/E isn't really overstaffed, since it's a relatively small store in a popular area. I want to say it has about 15-20 employees, so I'm hoping for 16-18hrs a week if I can

If it's not too badly staffed, you'll be fine. Just for me, making a grand total of just over $400, before taxes, in the 13 months I worked there, just didn't cut it for me. I hope you have better luck.
